On Sept. 25 Jaimie Lopez was shot and killed by State Trooper Kevin Wolensky. Aracelli Parra, Lopez's wife was sitting in the car when her husband was killed, but was unable to see what happened or communicate with officers in English. When I reached out to the Lopez family a year after his death, footage of the incident had yet to be released.

When speaking with the office of the Attorney general regarding the case I was told the investigation was delayed due to administrative changes. However, two days after my story published the family was given access to the footage. Shortly after a full report regarding the officer's conduct was released.
